What Should You Pay Attention to When Disassembling Accumulators?

times

The bladder type accumulator consists of a hydraulic oil part and an air part containing a gas-liquid seal. The hydraulic oil near the bladder is connected to the hydraulic circuit. When the pressure rises, hydraulic oil enters the accumulator, and the gas is compressed until the system pipeline pressure stops rising; when the pipeline pressure drops, the compressed air expands, pressing the oil back into the circuit, thereby alleviating the drop in pipeline pressure.

What aspects need attention during the disassembly of the accumulator?

  Stable Installation

During the disassembly process, it is required to avoid hand shaking and pay attention to preventing bumps. During installation, one must handle with care. Install in a low-temperature environment. Only after the internal pressure of the diaphragm accumulator is stable can subsequent operations be performed to ensure safety.

  Pressure Measurement

Disassembly of the diaphragm accumulator is performed on units with insufficient internal pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the pressure accurately, check if the pressure has decreased, and compare it with the original maximum pressure to prevent safety hazards in energy storage.

  Interface Disconnection

To ensure safety, during the disassembly process, it is necessary to pay attention to closing the diaphragm accumulator. During the subsequent disconnection process, ensure the interface is completely closed; otherwise, there may be internal gas leakage, damaging the accumulator.

  Absorb Pulses, Stabilize System

The liquid discharged by hydraulic pumps often has large pulses. These pulses can cause noise, vibration, and damage the working stability of the hydraulic system. Using an accumulator at the outlet of the hydraulic pump can effectively consume pulses, allowing the equipment to work stably, which is very important in some high-precision machinery.

  Store Energy, Emergency Hydraulic Power

Accumulators are widely used as auxiliary power sources and are used in combination with pressure solenoid valves. In intermittent operation situations, they can serve as auxiliary power sources, realize the miniaturization of hydraulic pumps, and save energy, such as in the tilting hydraulic transmission system of a blast furnace in a steel plant.

Thermal Expansion Reduction and Leakage Compensation

In pressure-controlled closed-loop circuits, using an accumulator can effectively compensate for pressure drops caused by temperature reduction, internal leakage, or external leakage; it can also effectively control pressure rise caused by temperature increase, thereby enabling the system to work better.

  Absorb Shock, Protect Circuit

In hydraulic circuits, sudden load changes occur due to the rapid closing of hydraulic valves; these sudden changes can cause large instantaneous shock pressures that damage pipelines, connecting joints, or other hydraulic components, and cause intense vibration and noise. Using an accumulator can effectively mitigate shock and protect hydraulic control valves. For example, accumulators used in the hydraulic transmission systems of die-casting machines and high-altitude concrete belt conveyors demonstrate this function well.

  Liquid or Liquid-Gas Separation Transmission

Using an accumulator can realize power transmission between two mutually exclusive liquids or between liquid and gas, performing barrier transmission.

Absorb Vibration, Shock Absorption and Balance

The capsule in the accumulator filled with gas can act as a gas spring, absorbing vibration analysis from the drive and suspension systems of vehicles, bucket elevators, mobile cranes, etc., maintaining vehicle stability.
