I. Product Introduction

The manual pressure relief valve, also known as a manual pressure regulating valve, is a dedicated valve for surface BOP (Blowout Preventer) control devices. It is mainly used with energy storage accumulators, with the core function of oil pressure reduction regulation. It can reduce the accumulator output 21MPa/3000psi high-pressure oil to the BOP-compatible working pressure of 10.5MPa/1500psi, meeting the oil demand for annular BOP opening/closing control. The valve body has dual functions: daily manual pressure stabilization and reduction, and automatic overflow pressure relief under special conditions, integrating pressure reduction and overflow functions, suitable for long-term drilling well control hydraulic control system integration.

The pressure regulating valve is also known as a self-operated balancing valve, flow control valve, flow controller, dynamic balancing valve, or flow balancing valve. It is an intuitive and simple pipeline network flow regulation device, mainly used in hot/cold circulation water pipeline systems. It can directly set pipeline flow on-site, relying on the media hydraulic force to automatically offset pipeline residual pressure head, eliminating flow deviation caused by pressure fluctuations, and maintaining constant set pipeline flow. It can complete one-stop pipeline network zoning flow allocation, simplify pipeline commissioning, and improve pipeline hydraulic imbalance issues, suitable for central heating and central cooling water system flow balance control.

II. Working Principle

1. Manual Pressure Relief Valve: Relies on manual adjustment of valve core opening to throttle and block high-pressure oil circuits, reducing output oil pressure and constantly supplying low-pressure working oil to the BOP. When pipeline oil pressure exceeds the limit, the valve port automatically opens for overflow pressure relief, balancing oil circuit pressure and protecting downstream well control equipment.

2. Pressure Regulating Valve: Relies on media water pressure to drive valve core adaptive regulation, unaffected by pipeline inlet/outlet pressure fluctuations, dynamically balancing pipeline pressure differential, locking pipeline set flow, balancing branch media transfer flow, and optimizing full-network water/heat transfer stability.

VI. Usage Precautions

1. Manual pressure relief valve pressure regulation must be operated slowly; large one-time adjustments are prohibited to avoid oil pressure sudden changes impacting BOP internal components.

2. Do not modify the valve body built-in overflow threshold during well control operations; ensure timely overflow pressure relief under overpressure for oil circuit safety.

3. Install valve components following oil circuit flow direction markings; avoid reverse installation that would cause pressure reduction and overflow function failure.

4. Clean pipeline impurities and scale before pressure regulating valve installation to prevent impurities from jamming the valve core and affecting adaptive flow control.

5. After pipeline flow setting, lock the adjustment limit structure to prevent external force contact from changing set flow parameters.
