The safety valve, also known as an overflow-type safety valve, is a core safety protection component for pressure pipelines, pressure vessels, and hydraulic energy storage systems. It is mainly used to control the system pressure-bearing limit. When pipeline or vessel pressure exceeds limits, it automatically relieves pressure and unloads, avoiding equipment damage and pipeline burst risks from high-pressure overload, ensuring safe and stable operation of the entire hydraulic and pressure pipeline system. It is also an essential safety protection component for accumulator hydraulic systems.
Relying on built-in spring pre-tension force to limit the set pressure, when system media pressure is below the set value, the valve disc presses tightly against the sealing port, maintaining a leak-free seal. When system media pressure exceeds the preset pressure-bearing value, the media thrust overcomes the spring force to push open the valve disc, automatically overflowing for pressure relief. After pressure falls back to the standard range, the spring resets to press the valve disc, re-closing the pressure relief channel, providing closed-loop protection for constant safe system pressure.
To ensure stable safety valve operation and extend valve service life, regular inspections must be conducted during use to identify potential faults:
1. Appearance Inspection: Check for valve body leakage, valve core jamming, spring corrosion and scaling, and other abnormal faults.
2. Pressure Adjustment Structure Inspection: Verify adjustment screw, adjustment wheel set screws, and locknut fastening status, eliminating nut looseness and pressure deviation issues.
3. Fault Handling Requirements: When inspections identify abnormal issues, promptly shut down for protection, implement maintenance and repair measures, and prevent operation with faults.
1. Disassembly Maintenance: Regularly disassemble the entire safety valve for comprehensive internal chamber cleaning, non-destructive component testing, and sealing surface grinding repair. Only after repair, verification, and pressure calibration can it be reinstalled for use.
2. Outdoor Protection: For outdoor exposed safety valves, install protective components to block rain, mist, dust, and corrosive impurity ingress into the valve body and pressure relief discharge piping, preventing impurities from jamming the valve core and corroding sealing surfaces.
3. Anti-Freeze Protection: In low-temperature conditions below 0°C, anti-freeze insulation facilities must be installed, and valve body anti-freeze measures implemented to prevent media freezing from jamming the valve disc, ensuring reliable safety valve opening/closing and pressure relief in low-temperature environments.
1. Sensitive pressure relief response, automatic opening for overflow pressure relief under overpressure, fast stabilization reset, high pressure-bearing protection reliability.
2. Convenient and controllable pressure adjustment, adaptable to system pressure via adjustment screw, suitable for multi-specification pressure vessels and hydraulic pipelines.
3. Wide application adaptability, suitable for hydraulic oil, water, gas and other media, adaptable to indoor engine rooms and outdoor various installation points.
4. Durable and stable structure, spring-type integrated structure, suitable for long-term high/low pressure alternating conditions, convenient maintenance and replacement.
5. Strong protection level adaptability, can be equipped with protective accessories, suitable for rainy, dusty, and low-temperature harsh conditions.
Suitable for various pressure pipelines, pressure vessels, hydraulic energy storage stations, bladder accumulator hydraulic systems, chemical pressure-bearing equipment, HVAC pressure pipelines, and industrial and mining sealed pressure-bearing units. Serves as a dedicated safety protection valve for overload overflow and overpressure relief.
1. Do not privately modify locknuts or adjustment screws, or arbitrarily change the safety valve set relief pressure.
2. Regularly inspect spring corrosion, valve body leakage, and valve core jamming; periodically perform opening/closing test runs to verify performance.
3. Disassemble for cleaning and grinding when due; replace components promptly when sealing surfaces are worn or springs are aging and corroded.
4. Outdoor valves must be equipped with dustproof and waterproof protective kits; implement anti-freeze measures in advance for low-temperature environments.
5. Keep the safety valve pressure relief outlet unobstructed; do not block or bend the pressure relief piping to ensure normal discharge of pressure relief media.
6. Select the appropriate type for the corresponding media conditions; use dedicated hydraulic overflow safety valves for hydraulic systems to improve sealing adaptability.
