I. Product Introduction

The safety relief valve is also a safety valve of the relief type, and is the core safety protection element for pressure pipelines, pressure vessels, and fluid hydraulic systems. Its core function is to control the pressure threshold of pipelines and vessels, prevent equipment overpressure operation, and ensure the safe operation of pressurized equipment and fluid piping systems. It is an essential safety protection element for pressurized systems.

II. Routine Inspection and Maintenance Requirements

To ensure stable operation of the safety valve and extend the service life of the valve body, routine inspection and maintenance must be carried out during equipment use to detect valve body abnormalities: periodically check for medium leakage, valve core opening/closing jamming, spring corrosion and aging, and other fault issues; simultaneously check the tightening status of adjusting screws, pressure adjustment handwheel set screws, and lock nuts to detect any loosening hazards. Once valve body abnormalities or fastener loosening issues are detected, timely protective rectification and maintenance should be implemented to avoid safety failures.

III. Periodic Disassembly Maintenance Standards

In-service safety valves must be periodically disassembled for comprehensive internal cleaning, component flaw detection, and sealing surface grinding and repair. After maintenance and grinding are completed, the valve set pressure must be re-calibrated, and the valve can be reinstalled for service only after passing verification, reducing valve replacement costs and ensuring pressure relief accuracy meets standards.

IV. Outdoor Installation Protection Requirements

Safety valves installed in outdoor exposed conditions must be equipped with protective components to protect the valve body, blocking rain, fog, dust, and corrosive impurities from entering the valve body interior and exhaust pipeline interior, preventing impurities from jamming the valve core and corroding internal springs and sealing structures, ensuring smooth opening/closing and pressure relief actions.

V. Low-Temperature Environment Special Requirements

When the ambient temperature is below 0℃ in low-temperature conditions, anti-freeze and insulation facilities must be installed, and anti-freeze and ice-drainage measures must be implemented for the valve body to prevent medium inside the valve from freezing and jamming the valve core or damaging sealing components, ensuring sensitive opening/closing and reliable pressure relief action of the safety valve in low-temperature environments.

VIII. Usage Precautions

1. Establish a routine inspection mechanism, regularly check for valve body leakage, opening/closing jamming, spring corrosion, and verify the tightness of pressure adjustment lock nuts;

2. Upon detecting valve body faults or fastener loosening, immediately shut down for rectification; never operate under faulty conditions with pressurized systems;

3. Strictly execute periodic disassembly, cleaning, and sealing grinding procedures; complete pressure setting after maintenance, and only reuse after passing verification;

4. For outdoor installations, ensure proper dust and water protection to prevent contaminants from entering the valve body and discharge pipelines, reducing component corrosion;

5. In sub-zero low-temperature environments, anti-freeze facilities must be installed to prevent medium from freezing and affecting cracking pressure relief performance;

6. Do not arbitrarily modify the adjustment screw or adjustment wheel opening to avoid unauthorized changes to set pressure and loss of safety protection function;

7. For safety valves that have been out of service for extended periods, re-verify pressure relief sensitivity before installation, and clean internal cavity impurities before putting into service.
